In the paper it has been attempted to make a transnational comparative (historical and bibliographical) study de visu, on the one hand, the Greek periodicals in Ukraine in 1917, and on the other — the Ukrainian Greek-language press in Greece of 1919–1920 yrs. On the basis of their empirical (historical and bibliographical) study de visu the publications «Αναγέννησις» (Odessa, 1917) та «Έλληνο-Ουκρανική Επιθεώρησις» (Athens, 1919–1920) have been introduced for the first time in journalism studies discourse. The editorial policy of the periodicals has been studied and the ideologemes, main dominants and determinants of their content have been analyzed. The conclusions about functional orientation of these press publications, framing of problems have been drawn and the perspectives for forthcoming studies in the subject have been formulated.
