Abstract

The article focuses on a group of literary-artistic periodicals, which, after the end of hostilities and the capitulation of Germany, were published in the western occupation zone of Austria. The author identifies the main publishing centers, their organizational structures, and the personal role of publishers, editors, and leading authors in the publication of four émigré journals («Dzvin», «Kerma», «Zveno», and «Litavry»). She examines the conditions of their release, content, the main publications, similarities and differences in their respective creative concepts, and the development/course of discussions. Generalized is the new cultural experience gained in the post-war period.
