On the basis of Father Aurelio Palmieri’s letters to Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi, which we have discovered, as well as the publication of the Italian researcher Giuseppe Croce supplementing the documentary integrity of the correspondence in 1907–1914, important aspects of the activity of the Catholic theologian-orientalist during the most intense relationship with the Galician Metropolitan were presented; his participation in and contribution to the formation of Andrey Sheptytsky’s library in the context of the national historical and cultural heritage were determined.
