Abstract

The travesty is studied as an element of satirical figurative genres in the context of the growing trend of visualization of printed media. We have a genetic link to caricature as a journalistic genre, which is built on a distortion mapping of object for its disclosure. It establishes functions of travesty publications and special publicistic character.
