The analysis is performed of the historical, literary, theoretical and methodological studies of E. Yu. Pelenskyi in the context of his view of cyclic changes between the classical and romantic literary tendencies. The object of our study is the set of articles written by this author in journals «Literaturno-Naukovyj Vistnyk» («Vistnyk»), «Dazhboh», «Dzvony», «Nasha Kultura», «Novyj Chas», «Ukrainska Knyha», and also refereeing reports on his works published in periodicals of Galychyna during the period in between two wars.
