Abstract

The article outlines early period of Yuriy Glogovskiy’s creative work (1800 — early 1810s), which is considered in the context of issues determined by social and political events. Biographical details of a city planner and architect were specified were specified basing on archive materials. His contribution to elaboration of a cadastral plan of Krakow and to the renovation of Lviv’s architectural outlook is acknowledged. His first steps towards establishing the original features of local polytechnic school are described.
