The article examines the types of advertisements in the Western Ukrainian and Ukrainian emigrant calendars in the 1920’s and discusses the main principles of advertisement organization in the calendars of the aforementioned period based on the archival materials of the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in the City of Lviv. Advertising activities of bookselling and publishing institutions of the researched period are examined as a source for the bibliography of the Western Ukrainian and Ukrainian emigrant books published in 1919–1939 years.
