The collection of the manuscripts of the priest, choir conductor, music publisher and musicologist Volodymyr Sadovsky, preserved in the archive of the composer Yosyf Kyshakevych, is considered for the first time in the article. The review contains the comments, which relfect scientific research, clarifies the dates, essence, reveals the facts, events, which bacame the background for the appearance of this materials. The described Sadovsky’s manuscript collection constitutes the valuable source for research of the various aspects of the music endeavour of the artist, the textology of his certain publications.
