Maria Valyo was one of the first Ukrainian explorers, who in the 90-th years of the XX century appealed to the study and comprehension of the printed inheritance of the famous professional editor of Ukrainian books and postcards Jakiv Orenshtain from Kolomyya (1875–1942). Maria Valyo in a row of publications properly estimated Jakiv Orenshtain’s contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture.
