The article analyzes the main complex materials Ukrainian and foreign periodicals in the pages which covers various aspects of the history of archaeological and bibliographic exhibition Stavropigiysky Institute in Lviv 1888–1889. An important achievement of an exhibition, with the exception of the opening of the first Ukrainian Museum in Galicia, was the intensification of art- science, including her involvement in Ukrainian scientists, whose main work is published in the pages of periodicals investigated.
